Disney's Polynesian Resort or as it lovingly named The Poly is one of the original Walt Disney World Resort hotels and still as popular as ever. Disney's Polynesian Resort keeps the whole family entertained with many activities throughout the resort. The most exciting feature is the main Nanea Volcano Pool which features a waterfall and waterslide a kid's play area and there's even underwater music! Soak up the sun and walk along the soft sandy beach of the Seven Seas Lagoon, spend quality time on the lake with a Pontoon Boat, Canopy Boat or Sea Raycer, you can even take a specialty cruise! ![]() There's plenty more to entertain and relax everyone. Fishing excursions and children's fishing excursions for bluegill are available daily on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. Trips depart from the resorts marina and last for two fun filled hours. Rent a boat at the Mikala Canoe Club and experience a fun filled trip to the marina which has a fantastic aquatic environment. Work off all that fantastic food and go for a jog over a 1.5 mile jogging trail, don't worry maps are available so you won't get lost. If you prefer a nice game of golf then your in luck, you will have preferred access to Disney's 5 championship golf courses. Especially for the kids the resort has some great activities to keep them happy. Moana Mickey's Fun Hut - a family game and arcade room situated next to the Never Land Club, it features the latest arcade entertainment and is open 24 hours daily. The Neverland Club offers a supervised Peter-Pan themed dinner buffet with free arcade games, Disney classic movies and arts and crafts. ![]() After those exhausting times taking part in all activities Disney's Polynesian Resort provides, your going to need some food to keep your energy up for more excitement. Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show being the all time favourite, the Spirit of Aloha is set in the beachfront cabana of an Hawaiian home, the dinner show features traditional Polynesian music, dancing and costumes and audience members can join the fun. Another favourite is the Ohana which is located on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House, the great feature of the Ohana is the views across the lagoon to the Magic Kingdom which is incredible at night-time for watching the evening fireworks. There's plenty of food to choose and you don't even have to move from your table it's all brought to you. While you are dining you'll be entertained with live "Hawaiian" type acts. The Ohana is a huge favourite of the kids! ![]() To finish off your perfect holiday Disney's Polynesian Resort provides several great shopping areas. BouTiki is the resort's largest gift shop featuring resort logo items, novelties with a tropical theme clothing from Quicksilver and Roxy and clothing by Tommy Bahama. Trader Jack's and Samoa Snacks on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House features Disney theme park related merchandise. Samoa Snacks is the resort's convenience store, offering small snacks, beverages and other sundries. Wyland Gallery showcases a collection of artwork by marine-life artist Robert Wyland. ![]() |
