If you want to attempt to see everything in one day, arrive early so that you can take care of business and see the top attractions before the park gets very crowded. Another way to increase your attraction quota is to ignore the faux Hollywood streets and the gift shops. During peak seasons, you can avoid long waits at major attractions with the highly recommended Universal Express and Express PLUS passes. These admit you to the attractions with little or no wait in line
If you're one of the first people in the park and have plenty of early energy, circle the park twice to catch the A-list rides first, then pick up the B-list later. If you're dying to see Shrek 4-D, you'll need to hit it first (it's straight ahead on the right), and then backtrack and turn left to follow up with Terminator 2 3-D. Next, make tracks down the street to Back to the Future The Ride while the lines are still at a minimum. As you continue counterclockwise, Men in Black: Alien Attack is next, followed by Jaws, Earthquake - The Big One, then the must-see Revenge of the Mummy attraction and, finally, back near the entrance to see Twister Ride It Out.
You've just circled the park, and chances are the crowds have arrived. Based on your preferences, you can backtrack to pick up other entertaining attractions like Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, Animal Planet Live!, and the Universal Horror Make-Up Show. The remaining rides and attractions are up to you. If the lines are short, all that remains are the ride and show collection at Woody Woodpecker's KidZone, and Lucy: A Tribute. It's been a full day. Go get some rest
